Fool in a Mask Productions, a local acting troupe made up of recent high school graduates, presented “The Amazing Adventures of Stuart Lindman and other Short Plays” at 14 ECRL branches. The play was part of the Minnesota Historical Society collection. A total of 285 children and adults attended the performances.

An Evening with Ellen Hopkins - 2011

Minnesota author Ellen Hopkins held two programs in Pelican Rapids, one at the library and one at the high school. The library program was held in the afternoon with many parents and grandparents attending. It was a traditional author program with Hopkins talking about books she had published.

Anansi the Spider - 2011

Presented by CLIMB Theatre and based on the West African folktales and the master of trickery Anansi. The play was followed by 20 minutes of activities to encourage reading readiness. Climb Theatre, located in Inver Grove Heights, MN, is a touring educational theatre that brings plays and classes directly to schools and other agencies throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
