This program will accelerate the restoration and enhancement of approximately 20,500 acres of native prairie vegetation on Wildlife Management Areas, and Scientific and Natural Areas and Native Prairie Bank Easements.

Dikes and water control structures will be upgraded on three wetland and two shallow lakes located within wildlife management areas in Lincoln, Morrison, Roseau, Todd, and Yellow Medicine Counties
Our program will protect and restore 700 acres of new wetland wildlife habitat in wetland complexes in Minnesota through fee title acquisition. Title of all lands acquired will be held by the State and designated as Wildlife Management Area open to hunting, trapping, fishing and compatible outdoor recreation uses.
This project will restore and manage native prairies and woodlands, including removal of invasive species along at least six percent of the developed miles of state trails
This proposal accelerates the permanent protection of 935 acres of wetlands (235 acres) and grasslands (700 acres) as Waterfowl Production Areas open to public hunting in Minnesota.
