Measurable Outcome(s)
The grant focused on improvements made within the Sand Creek watershed. Some of the tasks involved in the grant were the installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) through either technical or financial assistance. In total, there were 38 projects that were completed wtih the use of Targeted Watershed Grant funds. Native grasses and cover crop projects comprised two of the most successful practices. A number of other practices were completed as well that included grassed waterways, grade control structures, and wetland restorations.
