Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The Free Family Previews will provide access to live symphonic music to those who may otherwise be unable to afford to attend. Family participation gives Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale an opportunity to introduce young people, often overlooked, to symphonic music. The Preview events will require separate tickets for adults and youth 18 and under. This will provide a measure of both overall and youth access. Surveys will be sent to participants at email addresses provided during ticketing.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Address barriers to participation. -- Free previews overcame financial barriers to participation. Build new relationships with underserved groups. -- Adults brought their youngsters, whereas very few children regularly attend paid performances.
