ACHF Arts Access
The number of Minnesotans who are able to participate in the arts increases. The quality, types and number of arts opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts participation and arts access are identified and addressed. New relationships with members of groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization are built. The number of Minnesotans who are engaged in arts education and learning opportunities increases. The quality and types of arts education and learning opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. We will conduct surveys. We will know we've been successful if every survey opportunity yields at least one response indicating that the experience led to a feeling of belonging to a community.
Not one gallery visitor responded to the surveys we placed in the gallery during the grant period. This was understandable, given Covid-19 concerns about surface contamination and people spending less time in the gallery than usual. Several people, however, responded to the brief surveys we distributed at outdoor music events where we encouraged respondents to keep their branded Arts Center pens, and a few responded to an online survey distributed to members and the general public prior to our annual meeting.
