Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The self-confidence of participants will be increased through participation in this Frank Covino workshop. The majority of participants will continue to use the skills and methods as taught by Covino throughout their lifetimes. The artistic skills gained will be transferred by the artists to other applications and the knowledge passed on to others. Public awareness for the value of art and improvement of the quality of life will be raised.Student artists will complete a survey on the last day of class in which 99% will state positively that the class was worthwhile and many benefits were derived from this experience.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Ages ranging from college-age to 89 years old attended this seminar. The learning progress the students made was remarkable. This professional instruction gave them confidence to continue using skills acquired through this class. The increased enrollment and advertising perpetuated awareness of the classical traditions of oil painting so that this fine art will not be lost to future generations. The public was invited to stop in to view students work and there were many who were astounded by the quality of the works in progress.
