Arts and Cultural Heritage Grant

Vocalmotive participants will increase their knowledge of both technical dance moves and understanding of the linkage between movement and music by 75% as measured by pre and post workshop surveys.Pre-choreography workshop questions with include but are not limited to: What experience do you have linking movement to music? What experience do you have with jazz and hip hop dance? And When you view a combined performance of vocal music and dance numbers, do you think about how the music and dance relate to one another within a single selection? Post choreography workshop questions seek responses to questions about what the students have learned about linking movement to music, dance forms learned, and using movement and music to create a message that runs through the overall performance.
