Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Twelve selected individuals will design and sew their own Ojibwa Regalia outfits to wear in the Boys and Girls Club Pow-Wow on June 2012. This process will teach sewing skills as well as raise participantsÆ awareness of Ojibwa culture.Each student will complete a pre and post evaluation measuring their skill in sewing and knowledge and awareness of Ojibwa regalia design. Sewing at the Boys and Girls club and showcasing this regalia at the pow-wow will increase the number of youth interested in sewing regalia in subsequent years as well as raise awareness in the community of the ability local youth have to relate to their culture in positive ways through artistic expression.
