Pequana Playhouse will present Mixed Blood Theater CompanyÆs show ôHijab Tubeö to the community with the hope that the audience will appreciate this professional-level arts experience and develop an better understanding of diverse American cultures. We expect an attendance of 45-55 adults at the public performance and a larger attendance for a school assembly of students grade 6-12. We hope that watching the performance will result in learning elements of Islamic culture, heritage and beliefs and an increased awareness of the importance of other cultures.Audience members will be contacted in person or by telephone or email and asked if they enjoyed the performance, if they learned anything new, if they would like to see similar productions in the future, and if they have any added comments.
Comments were mostly positive - glowing in fact - and indicated an increased understanding of the American Muslim culture. One audience member stated ”We would love to see more productions of this type that focus on education as well as different cultures
