Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

To educate students on the background and workings of musical theater by exposing them to high quality musical arts experiences, thereby improving their skill in theatrical performances. To have student participants educate the community about theater arts following their experience.Students will directly apply the knowledge and awareness of theater arts to their own performance of selected numbers from Hairspray in the upcoming spring show. The tripÆs effectiveness will be measured by pre- and post trip performance evaluations, participant personal reflections, and evaluation of the interactive theater arts lesson students will create for spring show audiences.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Many of our students are from low income families and have not had the chance to experience high-level art, especially in a city. Our students were greatly impacted by their tour of McNally Smith College of music where they were able to see firsthand the
