The Council on Black Minnesotans is committed to ensuring that Legacy funds benefit Minnesota’s African American and African immigrant communities. The Council accepted proposals for new arts and cultural heritage programming and events, and each proposal received was reviewed by a committee. These grants make possible programs and events designed and implemented by African American and African immigrant led agencies that strengthen communities and deepen connections among Minnesotans.
