Offer Vermilion Community College and Ely Public School students and staff an integrated arts experience by having Michael Monroe, an artist who incorporates ecology and technology into his music, conduct an artist residency during the week of November 5.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Project participants will have an arts experience that develops new understanding of music as art in a social, cultural, and environmental context. Participants will learn about music technology, improvisation, and performance.Outcomes will be assessed by narrative response/reaction evaluations of project participants. Older students will complete pre and post evaluations regarding music and improvisation. Photographic responses and informal observations will be documented.
