The quantity and types of arts learning opportunities available in the state increases. Arts learning opportunities are more accessible to Minnesota because barriers to participation have been identified and mitigated. More Minnesotans are engaged in arts learning opportunities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

1) Students had the opportunity to be taught and mentored during the week long artists' residency. The "Roots" students completed five pieces of poetry and constructed a book using book arts strategies and techniques. The "Hopes and Dreams" students created a self-portrait using digital photography, drawing, poetry and collage. 2) As the students progressed through their projects there was a checklist of layers (formative) the writing, the self-portrait and the layering of the collage.
