Teaching artist Frank Sentwali will conduct a five-week spoken word/poetry residency for 85 Somali students, promoting literacy, creativity, and self-expression.

85 Somali immigrant students in Rochester will participate in an art form that is otherwise unavailable to them. Each of the students will be expected to complete and perform three poems (two solo and one group) by the end of the residency.
