Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Expand its arts learning opportunities in the school through the integration of puppetry arts in the curricular areas of writing, Spanish, English and theater. The first measure of this outcome will be the completion of the project and its performance at our school, neighboring schools and other community venues. The second measure will come from student reflections on their learning experiences. 2: This project will be shared with children and their families, many of them Latino, free of charge in their school. These schools have a high poverty rate and a very diverse student body. This objective will be evaluated by the presentation of the project to students and families, many of whom are of color and low-income, who often do not have access to arts learning opportunities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This project produced an original puppet show on the life and work of Cesar Chavez that was presented to schools and community venues. 2: The project provided an educational and entertaining play presented at two schools and a community venue free of charge to students and families, many of them Latino.
