To introduce a variety of musical offerings to at least 40 new youth. To engage with the Rondo community and recruit 5-10 new youth for fall programming. We will be using the Youth Learning Program Quality Intervention by the Wallace Foundation to measure quality of our program. We will also be taking counts of audience and participants.
Yes and no. We served a total of 89 youth and anticipated a drop-in program. However, our average in the course of the day was 25 youth so trying to figure out how to serve them more consistently is part of our improvement plan for next summer. We do plan on doing a similar camp next summer. We did reach our intended community though and had a diverse group of students as expected. It was a tuition-free, very open program. I think the challenge is the balance between being open and accessible and creating consistency. We were a tuition-free program. 89 youth were introduced to new activities over six weeks of summer programming.
