Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The priority goal of this project is to stabilize and expand the Milan Village Arts School and to increase the number of classes held and the number of students participating in Milan Village Arts School programs.Success, of course, will include a new foundation and unfinished basement that is finished and ready for classes by spring, 2015. The Milan Village Arts School will not have accrued any debt it cannot repay within 10 years. We will be holding more classes in the busiest times of the year, and the mildew and must problems will no longer be an issue. We will have safe, secure storage for equipment not in use. Long term, we will be able to accommodate more classes, different kinds of events and workshops that require more space, and we will be able to comfortably hold our expanding student population. Studio sessions will help to develop new generations of teachers. Milan will also boast that its original one-room schoolhouse is the gorgeous non-profit arts school at the end of Main Street for the next several generations to come.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The completion of the first stage of construction is the largest and most measurable outcome. It has been completed to our expectations. We have also continued to receive further funding through other organizations and private donors.
