Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Students will create several murals throughout the school. Students will go through an artist critique on the murals using a formal assessment tool.Students will complete murals and also discuss the creation of art using a critique process.

Measurable Outcome(s)

There was an on-going informal evaluation. The students were asked how they felt about the project, how would they change the murals, colors, etc. The first couple of sessions with Tammy, the students would sit and wait for her to come. But, once they got into the project, they would take out their own mural panels, paint and begin working before she even came. The real outcome was what does the final project look like - does it meet our expectations? The overwhelming opinion of the students is that it does. Each student can tell you what they contributed to each panel, why they chose a certain picture, shape or color - or what the mural memory means to them.
