Project Details
Funds will assist the Bemidji Public Library to provide the north central region of Minnesota with the 6th Annual Bemidji Library Book Festival, offering as many as 20 literary events in six days, with author presentations, writing workshops, and other cultural events.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
There will be an increase in their appreciation for and knowledge of Minnesota authors, literature, culture and heritage, as well as an increase in their knowledge of the writing process, publishing industry, and illustration of books, depending on the workshops they attend. Community members will gain knowledge of regional authors and express support of the library as a place for learning opportunities to occur.Attendees will complete written evaluation forms. Outcomes will also be measured by interviews with attendees and observations recorded by Festival volunteers and staff.
