Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Classical MPR will build upon past successes in recording partnerships, as well as the hallmark live and recorded broadcasts of the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO), Minnesota Opera, the Shubert Club, and others, to increase our recording capacity for regional broadcasts in FY13. These increased efforts would result in more interviews with Minnesota artists, expanded regional cultural news, and added in-studio recordings with local musicians.Travelling around the state to host and record concerts, MPR will leverage relationship building efforts from previous years to work with more regional ensembles than ever before in broadcasting their work on-air and online. Additionally, MPR will deepen relationships with core broadcast partners such as the SPCO, Minnesota Orchestra, and Minnesota Opera, exploring new ways of presenting exceptional Minnesota music.

Measurable Outcome(s)
    • 7 arts partner groups recorded
    • 250 on-air plays
    • 20,000 on-air listenership
