$12,641,000 the first year and $15,140,000 the second year are from the parks and trails fund to be distributed as required under new Minnesota Statutes, section 85.535, subdivision 3, except that  of this amount, $40,000 the first year is for a grant to Hennepin County to plant trees along the Victory Memorial Parkway.

A minimum of 60 native prairie species will be planted along with oaks to reflect the site's eco-type as an oak savanna. 2013 report will report what is planted.

Measurable Outcome(s) 

The restoration included planting approximately sixty native prairie species in addition to oaks to reflect the site’s eco-type as an oak savanna. The project was successfully completed in 2012. Grant closed-out.
