WDSE will make bring expanded live broadcast and a connection to music education in local classrooms with the airing of the Young People's Concert. Prior to the concert, WDSE and the Orchestra will work jointly to provide lesson plans and support material which will help teachers to make the most of their classroom's concert experience.

Measurable Outcome(s) 

An expanded partnership with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra resulted in enriching local music education with the airing of the Young People's Concert. Online lesson guides made available through both the WDSE WRPT and DSSO websites http://www.dsso.com/youth_concert.php were used by teachers in 28 regional schools to prepare students for attending the Young People's Concert in person (1,200 students), or experiencing the concert via our broadcast April 18, 2012.
