Enhancing ADA Accessibility
Increase access for individuals with disabilities to outdoor recreation facilities that are managed by the Division of Parks and Trails.
The Division is attempting to provide a high level of accessibility to all outdoor recreation facilities that are managed by parks and trails with a goal to make as many facilities as possible fully accessible.
Sec. 3. Department of Natural Resources
(a)$14262000 the first year and $14603000 the second year are for state parks recreation areas and trails to:
(1)Connect people to the outdoors;
(2)Acquire land and create opportunities;
(3)Maintain existing holdings; and
(4)Improve cooperation by coordinating with partners to implement the 25-year long-range parks and trails legacy plan
The Parks and Trails Division set a goal to complete 4 projects to enhance accessibility at its state parks in FY13.
The Parks and Trails Division was able to meet its goal to set a goal to complete 4 projects by enhancing accessibility at two state trails and accessibility to two sanitation facility in state parks in FY13.

Improve access to 32 Parks and Trails facilities for individuals with disabilities
Completed 44 accessibility improvements within 30 State Parks and Trails locations.
