Project Overview

The Jr. Zookeeper Program provides youth between the ages of 11 and 17 the opportunity to learn aobut and actively participate in daily operation of the zoo and engage in activities that involve animal husbandry, environmental conservation and community outreach. Students will gain knowledge and experience working with animals, initiating and implementing conservation projects and participating in public animal programs. The program will pay for program fees usually charged to participants that might otherwise restrict their ability to participate in the program.
