KAXE - Great Northern Radio Show
The Great Northern Radio Show is an original Northern Minnesota-based variety show that is performed onstage in front of a live audience.
Survey: Survey results will show most respondents agree with these statements:"Has the Great Northern Radio Show woven art, culture and history more strongly into your life?""Does the Great Northern Radio Show help arts, culture and history thrive in MN?""I have learned about local history and how it might help me make future decisions on the Great Northern Radio Show."Facebook reach: Track reach of FB posts and links related to the GNRS.Audience: Count number of people in live audiences for GNRS. Estimate listenership to live and repeated broadcasts. Subject and participant comparison to census data and goals via program: Use the program for the show to compare performer-participants to census data to be sure show is inclusive. Also use program to assure at least 25% youth participation.Fiscal audit: The organization will assure fiscal responsibility through a clean audit that fairly represents the finances of Northern Community Radio.Artist feedback: KAXE will collect notes, email and ask producers to report informal feedback from artists about the impact of the program on their art.Online: Use Google analytics to report numbers of hits to program links, podcasts, etc.

I have learned instances where history has affected our lives as Minnesotans on the GNRS, and this will help me make more informed choices in the future? 86% agreed, 14% disagreed

Posts about the Bagley show were viewed by 116, 793, 855, 841 and 611 people. Posts about the Bigfork show were viewed by 768, 298, 636, 594, 414 and 370 people. Posts about the Eveleth show were viewed by 652 and 256 people
- Audience size in-house: Bagley 3/9/13: 170 (affected by snow event) Bigfork 12/15/12: 100 (had been sold out, but severe ice storm closed area highways and limited attendance) Eveleth 10/20/12: 134 Grand Rapids (scheduled for 6/29/13 @ Reif Center)
- Audience size broadcast: Estimated at 3,200 per 2-hour program - Subject and participant comparison to census data: Among the three shows to date, there were 69 performers. 42 were male and 27 female. 98% of the performers were White, 2% American Indian. Ages were 19% 0-19, 14% 20-30, 16% 31-40, 4% 41-50, 15% 51-60, 23% over 60
