Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

- Survey: Survey results will show most respondents answer these questions in the affirmative:"Has Our History revealed that history is woven into our lives and our communities?""Does Our History help arts, culture and history thrive in MN?""I have learned about local history and how it might help me make future decisions through Our History."- Facebook/online reach: KAXE will post links to each Our History program. KAXE can track the number of impressions, or reach, of each FB post and the number of visits to the Our History page on KAXE dot org.- Estimated broadcast audience: KAXE will estimate the broadcast audience for the program according to placement in the schedule, fundraising response, etc.- Fiscal audit: The organization will assure fiscal rseponsibility through a clean audit that fairly represents the finances of Northern Community Radio.- Create a list to track desired program outcomes: Track the following for each program: numbers and grade level of students involved in the project, uses by schools and students. Community and historian feedback: KAXE will collect notes, email, etc, and ask producers to report informal feedback from communities and historians about the impact of the program.

Measurable Outcome(s)

- Online survey:
Has Our History revealed that history is woven into our lives and our communities? 97% of survey respondents said yes, 3% no
Does Our History help the arts, culture and history thrive in Minnesota? 97% yes, 3% no
I have learned about local history and how it might help me make future decisions through Our History. 97% agree, 3% disagree

- Facebook reach: The audio for the first episode was posted on Facebook three times. The posts reached 319, 280 and 294 people.

- Estimated broadcast audience: 1,800 per broadcast. The first program has been broadcast 3 times.

- Participant comparison to census data: The participant/subjects of the first episode are 3 Ojibwe men, ages 62, 72 and 40. Two are elders, and one of these is a spiritual healer.

- Participant/subjects are all American Indian (100%). In addition, the producers of the series are a white male and an American Indian female.
This series will be about American Indian people, and will naturally include more Indian participants. KAXE will hear more females as the series progresses.

- Special community outcomes: KAXE have so far broadcast just the first of 10 episodes. The recording part of this project is finished; one episode has aired to date and the rest are in post-production. The first in this series has been picked up by WTIP in Grand Marais and KKWE on the White Earth reservation. A special goal of the program is to share it with American Schools and reservation residents. This is starting to happen.

- Community and historian feedback:

"I just finished listening to the documentary. We love it! If it's OK with you, we'd love to air it next Thursday, March 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. Let me know what you think.Let us know when program 2 is available. We're eager to hear more!--Take care"
