Project Overview

Niijii’s Pow-wow Trail will allow Ojibwe drum groups, dancers and other artists from the communities in the listening area to attend, display and record their art at various pow-wows throughout Minnesota. The project will collect photos and artwork that share the culture of the Native American people around the state. The recorded culturally significant music and interviews will be produced into half hour programs that will air bi weekly on KKWE and statewide through online streaming. The art of photography and videography will be displayed on the stations website.

  • Niijii's pow-wow trail  will interweave Native American culture into more facets of non-Native communities
