KSMQ produced and aired the following documentaries/specials:

Because You Voted Yes about the history of the Legacy Amendment and looking to its future. It features some of the people behind the initiative that resulted in teh 2008 amendment and a few who expect to benefit from the funding in the coming years.

Holiday Special, a special holiday feature program that highlights the diverse cultural traditions of the region. Interviews and performances by local residents provided an entertaining and enriching look at the culture of celebrating holidays.

Painting with Light: Winona's Stained Glass Legacy about the stained glass industry in Winona, the stained glass capital of the United States. KSMQ documented how craftsmen use ancient techniques to create stunning works of art.

Pride of the Prairie: Minnesota's County Fairs, an in-depth look at carnival rides, fried delicacies and blue ribbon animals that make the county fair an adventure and the highlight of the summer for many people.

Legacy Celebration Event, a showcase of the best of arts and history programming made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
