The goal of this proposed project is to set back succession of lowland brush to enhance the habitat benefits to both game and non-game wildlife species requiring open landscape and brushland habitats.

Measurable Outcome(s)

440 acres (120 above original 320 estimated with funding) of brush have been sheared during the winter. The cost of shearing was much less than hydro-axing, the original method planned, so we have been able to complete more acres than intended. We still plan on completing another 100 acres or so this coming winter with remaining funding.
