Margot Imdieke Cross has been with the Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD) for over 30 years, and holds the position of Building Access Consultant. In this capacity, Ms. Cross, a certified accessibility specialist, provides technical assistance and training on state and federal access requirements and best practices, emergency preparedness, civil rights issues and disability awareness. Margot has provided technical assistance on a range of notable projects, including the new Senate Office Building, State Capitol renovations, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, CHS Field, Allianz Field and Target Center renovations. Margot served as a Minneapolis Civil Rights Commissioner for 11 years, was a founding board member of Wilderness Inquiry II and was the first recipient of the Access Press Charlie Smith Award. She is a current member, and former chairperson, to the Minneapolis Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities for 22 years.
