Increasingly, people are turning to digital resources for answers to questions or as a starting point for research. MNopedia is a new digital resource for the public from the Minnesota Historical Society.
A prototype of MNopedia was launched to the public in August, 2011. Mnopedia will provide reliable, multimedia entries about Minnesota people, places, events and things. The Society launched the project in 2010 and developed a comprehensive plan, including surveying more than 60 local and national experts and evaluating 40 comparable digital resources.
The prototype tests initial entries and technology, invites user feedback, inspires content partnerships and will guide full web site implementation in 2012.
