Project Overview

The memorial will be located in Utley Park at 50th Street and Wooddale Avenue in Edina. The park already has an existing flagpole that was dedicated in 1955. The park itself will consist of a V shaped plaza, with three illuminated flagpoles, a gathering space to accommodated 150 people, an area with steel and wooden benches, along with a granite wall displaying the five military service emblem with the names of the residents who were killed or are missing in action.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Celebrate the patriotic service of veterans from the Edina community who have honorably served during time of war and peace.  Create a pleasant and respectful place where the community will gather to reflect and honor our veterans.
