The Minnesota Main Street Program is a comprehensive strategy that helps Minnesota communities preserve historic buildings, while providing training, tools and support for commercial revitalization. ACHF funding has enabled the re-launch of this program.

Since the official kick-off on May 1, 2010, four cities have been designated as Minnesota Main Street Communities—Brainerd, Faribault, Red Wing and Willmar—with another 12 registered as associate members.
Passage of the state historic structure rehabilitation tax credit in April 2010 offers yet another valuable tool for communities to use as they strive to breathe new life into their historic downtowns.
(d) History Partnerships. $1,250,000 in 2010 and $2,750,000 in 2011 are for partnerships between and with the Minnesota Historical Society and partnering organizations to enhance access to Minnesota's history and cultural heritage in all regions of the state.
