Project Overview

The School Network program consists of the following:

  • Reach all 87 counties in Minnesota through our work with schools.
  • Provide an online standards database for museum exhibits and programs.
  • Revise and develop residency classes aligned to Minnesota Science Standards. 
  • Offer expanded school program options for the Race - Are We So Different? exhibition, including: Field Trip Program Packages, Educator Guide, and two Teacher Institutes.
  • Communicate with Minnesota teachers and schools through print, e-mail, web, and personal contact.

$600,000 each year is for arts, arts education, and arts access and to preserve Minnesota's history and cultural heritage, including student and teacher outreach and expansion of the museum's American Indian initiatives programs.
