Act Out for Kids and Teens: Theater classes for all ages, with a variety of topics: creative movement, storymaking, storytelling, playmaking, acting games, musical theater, stage combat, play reading, and voice and speech.?

Crafty MN: Textile art programs for youth.

In Step: dance and culture program for kids and youth.

Design a Skateboard workshops: Skateboard art workshops for teens.

Sing, Play, Learn: Hands-on musical play activities led by early childhood music specialists will let families experience music's impact on learning and reading readiness. Together they will sing, rhyme, read, move and create!?Some programs conducted half in Spanish.

Science of Art: Hands-on art classes for kids exploring how nature influences art and how materials found in nature can be used in art.

The Loft First Pages: writing classes for youth. Topics include: non-fiction, poetry, introductions to creative writing, getting published, editing, memoirs, and more.?

Act Out for Kids and Teens: Participants will learn more about theater and acting. Patrons will have the opportunity to try out acting.?

Crafty MN: Participants will make textile art. Participants will learn more about textile art and its history.

In Step: Patrons will try dancing or learn new dances, patrons will learn about cultures different from their own, patrons will learn something new about dance or dance history or culture.

Design a Skateboard: Patrons will make art.

Sing, Play, Learn: Patrons and their children will sing and dance together.

Science of Art: Patrons will have hands-on experiences creating art, patrons will learn more about art techniques.

The Loft First Pages: Attendees will learn new writing skills, attendees will be encouraged to continue their writing.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Act Out for Kids: 60% of participants tried acting. 50% know more about acting or theater. Comments include: "I liked doing shapes with my body" and "Favorite part of this program was acting" and "Favorite part of t his program was making a play! It was super fun!"

Crafty MN for Kids and Teens: 100% tried making fabric art. 94% know more about fabric art. Comments include: "I liked sewing" and "I had fun and I love my finger puppet with googly eyes."

In Step: 100% of participants tried dancing. Overall, 100% learned about the history of dance, 80% learned about dance in different cultures. Comments include: "I would recommend this to everyone! Even if they think they couldn't do it."

Design a Skateboard: 100% of participants created art. 75% know more about resources to develop art skills.

Sing, Play, Learn: 100% of participants shared music and dance with their child. 79% learned how music helps children learn and grow. Comments include: "Unique, high quality musical experience! Great explanations, plus excellent music and geared to children's songs. Thank you!" and "Fun! Music conversation with kids about instruments!"

Science of Art: 97% of participants made art. 90% learned a new way to make art. Comments include: "I really enjoyed the puppets."

Loft First Pages for Kids: 87% tried writing. 100% learned to be a better writer.

Loft First Pages for Teens: 25% of participants tried writing. 94% learned a new tool to improve their writing. Comments include: "I feel like this was a really great session and I finally know what to write my essay on! "
