KSMQ will produce two new documentaries this year: The Boys of Wasioja and Hotdishes! The Boys of Wasioja Description: "Wasioja is a small town in southern Minnesota that made big sacrifices during our nation's Civil War. Many young men from Wasioja and surrounding communities volunteered to fight. Many lost their lives, either in battle or from disease. Learn the stories of these men and the story of this small town as well in 'The Boys of Wasioja,' a documentary by KSMQ." Hotdishes! Description: "'As American as apple pie' has long been a saying in our country. It conjures up feelings of nostalgia for the 'Good ole' Days' and portrays average Americans in a 'down home' light. KSMQ introduces a new saying to the American lexicon: 'As Minnesotan as a hot dish.' Learn about the history and the cultural significance of this Midwestern cuisine and you might even pick up a recipe or two to use at your next social gathering."
