Lake Superior Zoo History Project
The zoo conducted research and documentation of its history in order to lay the groundwork for a zoo history exhibit. The zoo will also finalize archival preservation and documentation of all historical photos, data and artifacts for use in a zoo history exhibit. Contractors will also document 10 to 15 people with a significant history with the zoo and will record and edit interviews.
Articles in local media, photographs and artifacts from community members have been catalogued, copied and cross-referenced for preservation and future use. They are stored in binders and electronic format. Complete recording and editing of interviews with 10 to 15 people with significant history with the zoo.
