Pete Hautman – Minnesota author presentation

Minnesota author Pete Hautman will discuss his books, and his writing process. -- Participants will learn about how his novels are conceived and written, and why Hautman writes for both adults and teens. -- Hautman will also discuss why teen literature is important, and how teens and adults look for different things in books. -- Attendees will hear about the creative process, writing in the digital age, and how books shape our lives. -- Discussion will touch on several of Hautman’s works, including the National Book Award winning novel “Godless”, his most recent Minnesota Book Award winner “Blank Confession”, and his upcoming science fiction trilogy, “The Klaatu Diskos”. -- Each presentation will be geared to the audience (middle school, high school, adults, or mixed).
