Project Overview

The Music Arts Gala will be a yearly two-day festival featuring local musicians, comedians, spoken word, sketch and craft artists in a family friendly venue. Fifteen to twenty Minnesota musicians and comedians will sign a technical release allowing KKWE to record audio and video from their performance for broadcast and podcast on KKWE. This festival will engage diverse communities in the arts and reach Minnesotans of all ages.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
  • Arts, culture and history will be interwoven into every facet of community life through the Music and Arts Gala
  • This project will increase awareness and produce a positive proclivity of Minnesota’s stewardship of public arts, culture and history funding by bringing, art, culture and history together in one venue
  • The Music and Arts Gala will be in a family friendly venue, welcoming young,  old, students, and professionals, to come together to support local artists
  • The two day gala will increase exposure of local artists throughout the region.   With the increased exposure, the artist will increase their ability to earn income from their art
