Project Overview

The Oshkaabewisag: The Messengers radio show will vividly bring to life, the epic story of the people and the landscape of the Leech Lake Reservation. Some of the topics will include visiting local communities and hearing the voice of both Elder and youth tell us what they have seen in the past and share their dreams for the future of their community. Challenging new topics such as Food sovereignty and access to healthy food, Ethical Research: what is best for the reservation community, reclaiming historical/traditional place names. Topics will be relevant, and educational to the lives of the people.
