Project Overview

This project is intended to restore 26 acres of savanna and woodland, classified as having a high to excellent biodiversity significance by the Minnesota County Biological Survey and comprising of a significantly large regional habitat area. The three objectives of this goal are to 1)control invasive woody vegetation; 2)re-introduce fire to the fire-dependent ecotypes; and 3)re-establish vigorous, sustainable native plant populations. The goal is to perform major restoration work to bring to the site to a condition that the City can take over for long-term, low-level management. See site info document for details.
