Project Overview

This project is a multiple activity proposal to improve forest, prairie/grassland and wetland habitats on State Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and State Forest lands in the DNR's Brainerd Wildlife work area (lower Cass, Crow Wing counties). The project will be accomplished through contract with MCC to perform various wildlife habitat enhancement efforts summarized in Attachment A. Daily supervision and shop/storage space for this crew will be provided by the DNRs' Brainerd Area Wildlife Office. It is a group effort of all three conservation groups. Benefits: Habitat enhancement efforts of this project are described in the first part of Attachment A also.
