These easements were restored from agricultural production back to native prairie and wetlands were restored. Despite our attempts to manage these sites as prairie habitat, invasive trees have established in the wetlands and scattered areas of the upland, resulting in an altered successional state. By removing the trees from these easements the habitat will be improved for nesting and brood rearing pheasants and waterfowl. This will also improve habitat for migratory species of non-game birds.
