KVSC - Celebrating Minnesota Music Concert(s)
Live music concerts exclusively featuring Minnesota musicians and performers at St. Cloud venues such as the Red Carpet Nightclub and Pioneer Place Theatre. The musicians/artists will be of diverse genres and will include 2-3 bands per performance.
$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
1-3 concerts Increased exposure of Minnesota/local musicians to audience(s). Dependent upon venue, audience attendance ranges from 180-450.Artist participation in pre-event radio and podcast interviews posted on KVSC.org. Students engaged in event planning, promotion, execution. Students producing artist interviews. Social media exposure on KVSC's Twitter/Facebook and Instagram. Supporting a livable wage with contracts with local musicians.
