WGZS - Ogichida Voices: Conversations with Fond du Lac Military Veterans
In FY16 WGZS teamed up with Ampers to produce a series of short segments featuring Fond du Lac veterans. In FY17 WGZS is going to compile the segments onto a CD and distribute them to students and community members. WGZS is going to pay a local artist to design the cover of the CD.
$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Ogichida Voices will help to interweave Native American culture and history into more facets of Native and non-Native communities.The CDs will give Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities and incomes more access to our Native American cultureWGZS will provide the number of CDs distributed
