KVSC - Speaker Series
Research and host a eminent speaker to give a free presentation for high school and university students as well as community members. An example would be retired Minnesota Supreme Court Judge Alan Page speaking about his sports, academic and professional experiences. Justice Page has worked with St. Cloud State University previously to establish a scholarship program to mentor students of color and help them gain access to higher education and would be a great example of a targeted speaker for this event.
$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
