Project Overview
Author Mary Casanova visited four local elementary schools including East Central Elementary, Finlayson Elementary, Hinckley Elementary School and Willow River Elementary School and presented a program about the writing process and writing children’s books.
Project Details
A total of 815 students were able to attend the programs by Mary Casanova and were exposed to the writing process and a true Minnesota author. Events: April 11 – Willow River Elementary School – 232 students; April 12 – Finlayson Elementary School – 75 students; April 12 – Hinckley Elementary School – 137 students; April 13 – East Central School District (Elementary school) – 415 students

Source of Additional Funds
East Central Regional Library, East Central Elementary, Finlayson Elementary, Hinckley Elementary School and Willow River Elementary School. Each school provided the venue for Mary Casanova’s visit and helped arrange her schedule for each day.
