Project Overview
Professional quilter, Bev Proulx presented her program, “Eye for Color” at the Rush City Public Library on Thursday, November 3 and her program “Quilts – Beyond the Beauty” about the purpose of quilts made during the past 200 years at the Pine City Public Library on Wednesday, January 25.

A total of 70 adults attended the two quilting programs - November 3 – Rush City Public Library (23), January 25 – Pine City Public Library (47).

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees will learn about the significance of baseball to the culture of Minnesota, the history of the Minnesota Twins baseball and broadcasting from Hall of Famer, Bert Blyleven. Attendees learned how quilters used color when designing quilts and the purpose of quilts made for the past 200 years and were given the opportunity to view an antique and contemporary collection of quilts brought by the presenter.
