Project Overview
Divas Through the Decades is a musical tribute to some of the most influential female vocalists in American pop music, featuring songs from the 40’s, through today’s current hits! They presented a classroom workshop at the high school in the afternoon, followed by a "teaser" concert at the end of the school day, culminating in a performance at the East Central School Auditorium on September 21, 2012.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Students at the high school will learn about the entertainment business and the art of becoming a musical group. Attendees will be exposed to and learn about different styles of music over the decades sung by various women and have their lives enhanced by the cultural experience and exposure to this activity.

Measurable Outcome(s)

99% of the students at the workshop enjoyed it and made the following comments about their favorite part of the workshop: Everything! Especially when they had the "CONTESTS!" I love the Divas; When we had the dancing contest. For the evening concert, 79% rated the concert as being excellent and 75 % said it met their expectations. Other comments included: Good - too loud for small space; Fun, enjoyable & Quality entertainment! Loved it!; We need more of this family type of entertainment! Price is nice - as so many can't afford to see such great entertainment! Thank You
