Project Overview
The Wildlife Science Center in Forest Lake presented a 45 minute program entitled, Animals Nobody Loves at the Chisago Lakes Area Library on August 16, 2012, including a skunk, a porcupine, a snake and a raptor; live animals and artifacts introduced the natural history of the "unlikeable" animals focusing on identification, adaptations and behavior. The program also included some information about wolves.

The program will provide equal access to programs for students of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and of all developmental abilities;
attendees will “make a connection” between the natural affinity for animals and science; attendees will learn about unlikeable animals and be able to identify them along with their habitat and behavior.
Measurable Outcome(s)
89% of those that attended the program said it was excellent and 74% said they would recommend it to someone else. Comments about the program included: Excellent information - especially interesting & appropriate for elementary aged children; and Great that kids can touch/feel artifacts and animals Great presenter!!!
